The Holiday Begins

Our holiday is off to a great start.  The weather is awesome, the people are friendly, and our accommodation superb.  Best of all, we only had to travel one bus zone.  Where are we?  The exclusive west side Vancouver neighbourhood of Dunbar.

We've moved out of our place and put our possessions into storage (that was fun).  With a couple of days to recover before our flight we're staying at our friends Doug & Barb's place while they're off camping somewhere with a inch of mosquitos.  Their place was so nicely prepared for us that I expected to find chocolates on our pillows.  I wonder what they could get on AirBnB?

We should have planned to a longer stay, but sadly the official part of our trip starts tomorrow afternoon.  We fly to Iceland.
