Hi Ian,
I just read through your Blog and about your decision to leave your VSO assignement. I guess it was not an easy decision to make but you will probably feel better to have made it now than in a year time !
Anyway 6 months is long enough to already have a great experience on a country ! I just left VietNam after 6 months as well, and I enjoyed them very much !
I must say more my work wasn't fun everyday and I feel I haven't done exactly what I came for, but the experience as a whole was fabulous !
I am now in South Iran, waiting with a french friend from India for his motorbike to be delivered in the harbour and we plan to ride back to France by motorbike (8000 km on an old 350 cc Enfield Bullet ...) it is currently 50 degrees and the bike is still somewhere between Dubai and Bandar Abbas ...
I wish you al the best, I am sure noew great oportunities wil arise for you. I'll be happy to stay in touch with you (please send me your e-mail address, I can't find it on your website).
Cheers
Alexandra
